How to actually manifest and have goals work for you
If you ever feel like things are taking forever to happen or that it “never” works out, this is for you.
You may have heard about manifesting and can’t help but roll your eyes and dismiss it as “woo-woo”.
Or maybe you’ve tried to dabble here and there but not sure if you’re “doing it right” and don’t know who to talk to about this because you don’t want to be seen as a total beginner.
I get it, I’ve been there. I went through decades of school focusing on hard science because that’s how my analytical brain works.
There’s a sense of security that comes when you get to see the data and numbers. Plus, it’s so nice when everything fits together nicely and makes perfect sense.
Which is why it’s so confusing when things don’t work out despite your very best efforts.
You’re ready for an amazing life. You’re taking action. You’re working with the best people. So what else is missing? Hellooo??? (BTW, if you are not doing the aforementioned 3 things, start there first.)
So why do some people have it so easy? And do you ever wonder if it is possible for you too?
The good news and my answer is, YES. Absolutely. 100%.
There’s no easy way to say this. But humans are habitual creatures who get addicted to the struggle. (Unintentionally, of course.)
We say we want an easy life. We don’t want to be stressed. We want to be on vacation all day. And then when we have a day off, everything seems to suddenly break down in the house or you get stuck in long lines or traffic and before you know it, the day is gone.
It’s time for a change.
Here’s a powerful exercise to try.
Do you have a goal in mind? Something you really want?
And no, you cannot force somebody to do something because we all have free will and you are responsible for yourself so please don’t complain and set your goal about your boss who never stops talking or your mother-in-law who keeps showing up unannounced. You don’t need to manifest or visualize, you need to go have a conversation with them. 😂
Now, give yourself 5-10 minutes of peace and quiet. Do this in the bathroom or closet if you must!
- Pick a goal.
- Ask yourself, who do I have to be in order for this goal to come true? Really see and visualize it happening. What do you see, hear, feel, smell, and taste? Everything!
- Ask yourself, how would your friends and family react? What would they say to you? Listen to what comes up.
- See everything working out. Ask yourself, what could go wrong if it did work out? Be patient and allow the answers to arise.
Be open and curious to hear your answers to questions 3 and 4 especially. These are clues to the “blocks” that are preventing you from getting your way.
I love digging for blocks because then you know what’s truly keeping you stuck and move past it. This is what I help clients do all the time.
Try it. What was the most surprising thing to come up?
